Gemini season (May 20-June 21, 2022) is an invitation back into the interests and hobbies we swore we’d get around to but never did. Screw perfectionism, I want to see your loosely knit scarf and taste your lumpy jam. I want to feel inspiration bursting forth in you, a bundle of excitement for what each new day and task holds. When’s the last time you did something, just to do it? The spontaneous (bordering ADD) urge to throw yourself into a random whim with joyful imprudence and maybe just enjoy yourself and unlock a new passion along the way. To quote a Gemini… “Why not?”

Aries: Try a new fitness regiment this month, or sign up for a service like ClassPass (they’re currently offering 1-month free!) that allows you to “drop in” to any studio in your city. Pilates, yoga, barre, aerial silks, boxing… you name it!

Taurus: Take a sewing class where you buy a fabric you love and are guided to create a pillow case or other entry-level sewing creation. Just Google “sewing classes for beginners near me.”

Gemini: Enroll in a public-speaking course or class! I’ve heard great things about ToastMasters. They have regional clubs all over. Search “Toastmasters near me” and get in touch with your local chapter.

Cancer: Try a service like HelloFresh for a month and have friends over to try the recipes you make! Both services offer stellar first-time discounts. (Purple Carrot is the one I’ve found that offers vegan plans.)

Leo: Okay, hear me out… join a local improv group! Or try your hand at a standup comedy open mic night. If you’re instantly uncomfortable reading this, then it’s excellent fire homework!

Virgo: Volunteer for “trail restoration” if you live in a hike-able area, or apply to foster an animal. Short-term commitments to be of service!

Libra: Organize a clothing swap within your friend group or on Facebook. A sustainable option to revamp your closet and get everyone together.

Scorpio: Buy this book immediately. It’s a scratch-off challenge book for sexual adventures. Intrigued? Click here!

Sagittarius: Organize a “powerpoint presentation” where everyone comes prepared with a 3-5 minute presentation on a random, favorite topic of theirs. This is the most fun I’ve had at an adult party ever! Click here for examples. You can keep it simple and tell people to design a powerpoint about their favorite unpopular opinion, a hot take, random interest… anything!

Capricorn: Book a “drop in” pass for a few different local co-working spaces to get a change of scenery, and see what events they offer, too. This is a great way to get a fresh energy for the day and meet cool professionals in your area at the same time.

Aquarius: Google “alien sightings in [your state]” and road trip to there for a day trip or camping excursion. Sounds silly? Good! Then it’s perfect.
